Class 10 Maths NCERT: free chapter-wise YouTube courses with notes
Some of the best Class 10 Maths teaching in India is free on YouTube, often taught chapter by chapter straight from the NCERT textbook. Studied as a course, with each chapter ticked off, notes for the formulas and a quick test after every lecture, a YouTube playlist can cover the whole syllabus. Here are the courses students are using on Studyio, and a plan to get through all 14 chapters.
Class 10 Maths courses in the library
A full chapter-wise course is best for learning the syllabus the first time; a one-shot or marathon series works well for revision once you've covered it.
The 14 chapters

A plan that covers the syllabus
- Follow one teacher, in order. Switching teachers for every chapter wastes time and leaves gaps. Pick one chapter-wise playlist and go through it from the first chapter.
- Solve along, don't just watch. Pause before the teacher solves an example and try it yourself first, then compare.
- Keep a formula sheet per chapter. Write each formula and one solved example in your notes, with a timestamp to the explanation. On Studyio, press T while watching to add the timestamp.
- Test yourself after every lecture. A few questions straight away show what you understood and what to rewatch. Each chapter on Studyio ends with a short quiz, with the answer linked to the moment in the lecture that explains it.
- Do the NCERT exercises. Videos teach the method; the textbook exercises are where you practise it. Work through them after each chapter.
- Revise in small doses. A few flashcards and questions from earlier chapters each day keep them fresh while you move on, instead of one huge revision at the end.
- Work back from your exam date. 14 chapters over 10 weeks is about one and a half chapters a week, with time left for revision. Give the course a deadline and your dashboard shows whether you're on track.
Stay on the syllabus
The hard part of studying from YouTube is staying on the lecture you opened. How to study for exams from YouTube without getting distracted has practical tips, and why YouTube's algorithm works against studying explains the problem. See every exam preparation course, or paste your teacher's playlist to study it the same way.
